Gorgeous Chickankari Georgette Short Kurta

A short kurta in georgette, worked in chikankari embroidery, in six colours.

• Chikankari is a Lucknow hand craft — fine shadow-work stitching done by hand, so no two pieces come out quite the same.
• Georgette suits the craft — light and slightly sheer, it lets the shadow work show through as it's meant to, which a heavy cotton would flatten.
• Short kurta length — sits at the hip rather than mid-thigh, so it works over jeans as easily as churidar.
• Six colours — black, green, yellow, red, white and pink. Sizes S to XXL (bust 36 to 44 inches).

Care: Cold gentle wash, turn inside out. Georgette snags easily and hand embroidery catches — keep it clear of zips and never wring. Dry in shade, iron on low and on the reverse.
