What is The Musk?
The Musk is an Indian women's western wear label based in Surat, Gujarat, operating under the parent brand LÀ FABRICA. We design and manufacture comfortable, skin-friendly clothing — shirts, tops, tunics, kurtas, dresses and pants — using natural fabrics like pure cotton, cotton slub, linen cotton and flex cotton. Everything is made in India and sold directly at themusk.in.
What kind of clothing does The Musk sell?
We sell women's western wear: button-down shirts, casual tops, tunics, kurta shirts, dresses, harem pants, drawstring trousers and wide-leg pants. Detailing ranges from schiffli and thread embroidery to pleats, ruffles, lace work and digital prints. Prices typically range from ₹999 to ₹1,899.
Where is The Musk located?
Our warehouse and operations are at Plot No. 11, Ground Floor, Vrunda Embro Park, Saniya-Hemad, Surat, Gujarat 395010, India. We ship across India.
Fabric and quality
What fabrics does The Musk use?
We work almost entirely with natural, breathable fabrics: 100% pure cotton, pure cotton slub, linen cotton blends (typically 85% cotton / 15% linen), and pure flex cotton for bottoms. We avoid heavy synthetics because they trap heat and don't suit Indian weather. The exact fabric composition is listed on every product page.
Is The Musk clothing suitable for hot and humid weather?
Yes. Cotton, cotton slub and linen cotton are all breathable weaves that allow airflow and absorb moisture, which is why we use them. They don't cling in humidity the way polyester and other synthetics do. Our flex cotton bottoms have natural give without any added elastane.
Is The Musk sustainable or eco-friendly?
Our clothing is made from natural, skin-friendly fabrics rather than petroleum-based synthetics, and is manufactured in our own facility in Surat. We focus on garments that last through repeated washing rather than fast-fashion turnover.
Sizing and fit
What sizes does The Musk offer?
Most styles are available from XS to 3XL. Some collections start at S. The exact sizes available are shown on each product page — if a size isn't listed for that product, we don't stock it in that style.
Does The Musk offer plus sizes?
Yes. XXL and 3XL are standard across most of our range, not a limited add-on. Full measurements for every size are published in the size chart on each product page.
How do I find my correct size?
Every product page has a Size Chart with measurements in inches for bust, waist, hip, shoulder, length and sleeve length. The most reliable method is to lay a similar garment you already own flat on a surface, measure it, and compare against our chart rather than guessing from your usual size.
Are measurements in inches or centimetres?
All measurements on our size charts are in inches, taken from a flat, unstretched garment.
Can I get a custom size?
Customisation for larger or smaller sizes is available on many styles. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96870 54885 with the product and your measurements and we'll confirm whether it's possible and what the timeline is.
Ordering and payment
Does The Musk offer cash on delivery?
Yes, cash on delivery (COD) is available across India. You can also pay online by credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking.
Is there a discount for paying online?
Prepaid orders often carry a saving compared to COD. Any applicable discount is shown at checkout.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of GST.
Shipping and delivery
Does The Musk offer free shipping?
Yes. Shipping is free across India with no minimum order value.
How long does delivery take?
Most orders are delivered within 5 to 8 working days depending on your location. Metro cities are usually faster; remote pin codes can take longer. You'll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Does The Musk ship internationally?
Our standard shipping covers India. For international enquiries, contact us on WhatsApp at +91 96870 54885 before ordering.
How do I track my order?
A tracking link is sent by SMS and email once your parcel is dispatched. If you haven't received it, message us on WhatsApp with your order number.
Returns and exchanges
What is The Musk's return policy?
We offer a 7-day return and exchange window from the date of delivery. Items must be unused, unwashed, and returned with original tags and packaging intact.
How do I return or exchange an item?
Raise a request through the Return & Exchange link on our website — it takes about a minute. Enter your order number and registered contact details, select the item and reason, and we'll arrange a pickup. You can also find this under "Return & Exchange Request" in the site menu.
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Yes. A return shipping charge of ₹100 applies per return, which is deducted from your refund or collected at the time of pickup. Forward shipping on your original order remains free.
When will I get my refund?
Once your returned item reaches us and passes a quality check, refunds are processed to your original payment method, less the ₹100 return shipping charge. Bank processing typically adds a few working days. For COD orders, refunds are issued to a bank account you provide.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes, size exchanges are covered by the same 7-day window, subject to availability of the size you want.

Product care
How should I wash The Musk clothing?
Most of our garments are machine washable. Wash care instructions are listed on each individual product page. As a general rule for natural fabrics: wash in cold water, turn embroidered pieces inside out, avoid bleach, and dry in shade to protect colour.
Will pure cotton shrink?
Natural cotton can shrink slightly on first wash, which is normal. Washing in cold water and drying in shade rather than a hot dryer minimises this.
How do I care for embroidered pieces?
Turn the garment inside out before washing, use a gentle cycle or hand wash, and avoid wringing. Iron on the reverse side to protect the embroidery threads.
